We have 24 hours in a day; say the average sleep is 8 hours, so that leaves 16 hours of awake time to choose what will transpire. Say you work a job, for some people it’s 9am-5pm; that’s 8 hours, leaving 8 hours in your day. Say we get up an hour or so earlier to prepare and let’s say we don’t get off at exactly 5pm or have errands to run. That takes off a couple more hours, making it 6 hours in your day to complete what needs to be completed and arrange what needs to be arranged. Let’s say you have kids. Depending on how many of these little gremlins you have will determine how much time will be investing in your day to them and their activities. For instance, if your kid goes to dance or cheer or karate, that takes at least an hour or so away from the remaining hours you have in one day. Count the travel time, say 20-30 minutes to get there… leaving you maybe 4 hours… even picking them up from school takes an hour to get in line and wait. Holy shit! What am I going to do with my remaining time? Things pop up, thrift store shopping, grocery shopping, doctor appointments, did I include dinner in my calculations? What about any self time? Mental health, physical health, reading, writing, boating, playing cards, yoga, bowling, gardening, guitaring, tutoring, working out, playing mentally challenging games, That literally leaves negative time - and we wonder why everyone is going crazy! There is no time left!!
